ENGAGEMENT RINGS IN GOLD

THE QUESTION OF ALL QUESTIONS

A question that changes everything: "Will you marry me?"
This question is usually asked the classic way: with an engagement ring.

Engagement rings in gold are among our bestsellers. Earlier generations already loved the warm, noble tone, the purity and the fineness (585 and 750). Yellow gold in particular is often the first choice when choosing an engagement ring in gold. The fine gold is usually alloyed with a small amount of silver and copper. The higher the gold content of the alloy, the more distinctive the yellow-gold colour. It looks balanced, soft and unmistakable.

DESIGN OF GOLD ENGAGEMENT RINGS

Diamonds are an important detail in gold engagement rings. But the design and surface of the ring also play a role. Depending on the surface texture and alloy, the gold engagement ring takes on a different character.

FAQ – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT GOLD ENGAGEMENT RINGS

HOW MUCH DOES A GOLD ENGAGEMENT RING COST?

A gold engagement ring usually costs between 700 and 2,000 euros. The price depends on the gold alloy (e.g. 585 or 750), the ring design and the chosen stone type – either a diamond or a lab grown diamond.

WHAT DOES 14K / 18K MEAN FOR AN ENGAGEMENT RING?

The designation 14K (585 gold) and 18K (750 gold) describes the gold content of the alloy. 14 carat contains 58.5% pure gold, 18 carat 75%. The higher the carat value, the higher the gold content – and usually also the price and colour intensity.

WHICH IS BETTER – 585 OR 750 GOLD?

Whether 585 or 750 gold is better depends on personal preference. 585 gold is more robust and suited to everyday wear, while 750 gold offers a higher gold content and a more intense colour. Both alloys are excellent choices for a gold engagement ring.

WHICH STONE TYPES ARE PARTICULARLY SUITED TO GOLD ENGAGEMENT RINGS?

Natural diamonds or Lab Grown Diamonds are particularly well suited to gold engagement rings, as they are timeless and durable. Coloured gemstones also pair very well with yellow gold and offer individual design options.

IS YELLOW GOLD OR WHITE GOLD BETTER FOR A GOLD ENGAGEMENT RING?

Whether yellow gold or white gold is better comes down to personal taste. Yellow gold looks classic and warm, white gold modern and elegant. Both gold colours are durable and ideally suited to a gold engagement ring.
